The Social Media Sass Recap: Social Media Day South Florida #SMDSFL
We had a blast at Social Media Day South Florida this year. The crowd and vibe were amazing! The location (Hyatt Regency Pier 66 @hyattpier66 ) had an amazing view of Fort Lauderdale, and the evening ended with a beautiful sunset.
I had a great time presenting about social video at Social Media Day South Florida. Video is my favorite kind of social media content. I love video! Video gives people more information than a still image, especially when video auto plays in social channels. Video allows you to tell an entire story (made up or real) in a short amount of time. Yes you can definitely tell a story with still images (think comics), but video just delivers more data. There is power in hearing a human voice and watching someone’s facial expressions. I truly believe that video is the road to social media fame, hence the title of the presentation “Video, The Road to Social Media Fame”. There are stats in the presentation below that support the importance of social video.
